热拉尔•马瑟（Gérard Macé），法国当代重要的散文家、诗人、文论家，1946年生于巴黎，1974年出版首部散文诗集《语言的花园》，2008年获法兰西学院诗歌奖。伽利玛出版社的《诗歌》丛书这样介绍他：“马瑟无疑是当今文坛最出色的散文家之一，他试图像荷尔德林所说的那样‘诗意地居住’，从而成为独树一帜的‘诗人-作家’。他的文字，如其所言，是‘诗歌落入散文里’，给予诗意写作一片新的延展空间。”此外，他著有多部关于兰波、马拉美、谢阁兰、普鲁斯特以及奈瓦尔的文学评论。马瑟曾说：“文学并不是我唯一关注的焦点：我的作品同时也是关于地点（巴洛克的罗马、京都的园林）和符号（汉字、古埃及文字）的呓语。”在他看来，“没有批评的思想，就没有真正的诗歌”。多样的主题和自由的形式，使他的作品自然地立足于诗歌和文论的分界处。
